PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY

In our interpretation, kùr-ru represents the beginning of the apodosis. An alternative reading of the two signs following E11.MEŠ is GUR-ru, iturrū, belonging to the protasis and referring to the blister beetles: 'if blister beetles … climb up the walls ... (and then) turn back.' See also 38.5.
