PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY

Omens 38.29' and 38.30' are different from the rest of the omens from chapter 38 in that the subject of the protasis is not the animal, but rather the man. For a similar protasis in which a falcon is substituted for the blister beetle, see De Zorzi (2009, 92, 1), also with a positive apodosis.
