PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • We tentatively suggest that 32.S.3 might provide guidance for 32.A.4’s missing protasis as the previous omen (32.A.3) corresponds to 32.S.2 and the subsequent omen (32.A.5) corresponds to 32.S.5 (32.S.4 corresponds to 32.A.7). Note that while 32.S.3’s protasis is incomplete, the -ma after ŠUB indicates a multipart protasis. The protasis of 32.A.4, however, is clearly finished after ŠUB-ut.
