PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
It is not entirely certain that BM 30427 12 duplicates Sm 0472+ 15'. The omen sequence on BM 30427 does not always follow the standard sequence (see 38.15). Since BM 30427 10-11 have 38.49', it is possible that BM 30427 12, of which the beginning of the protasis is not preserved, is to be placed within a different thematic section, perhaps with 38.55'.
