PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • Normal syntax would require a verb in the protasis after na4UR5, though none is present on the manuscript, as noted by If a City 2 (177, n. 58’). CAD Ḫ, 121 s.v. ḫarāru suggests emending the omen to read ‘cries’ as the preceding omens have to do with noise.
