PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • Whereas we follow KAL 1 (16-17, 74 Rs. 59’) and translate the signs i-mi-du as the G-stem preterite of mâdu ‘to be numerous’, If a City 2 (177, *32.54’) translates i-mi-du as the G-stem preterite of emēdu ‘to lean again’ or ‘to stand (near) by’.
