PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • The omen 32.A.85’ has the same apodosis but adds that the man ‘will walk along a safe path’.
  • The terms PAP.ḪAL and MUNUS.KALA.GA both have various shades of meaning, but all are negative. PAP.ḪAL at its core means ‘containment’, but can also include ‘distress’. MUNUS.KALA.GA can also mean ‘famine’.
