PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY

This and the previous omen are almost identical, except for the signs UGU and IGI in the protasis: MUŠ ana UGU LÚ ŠUB-ut (omen 22.7) and MUŠ ana IGI LÚ ŠUB-ut (omen 22.8). The apodoses of both omens use ŠU.BI.AŠ.ÀM ‘ditto’, referring back to the apodosis of omen 22.6.
