<p>Our reconstruction and translation of this omen differ from that proposed in <em>If a City</em> 2, 274-275. This is due to our different placement of K 03726+ <em>ii</em> 38: see the comment to <a href="https://tieromina.acdh-dev.oeaw.ac.at/omens/Omen-38-3/tei">38.3</a>.</p>
<p>In our interpretation, <em>kùr-ru</em> represents the beginning of the apodosis. An alternative reading of the two signs following <em>ur-ra-du-ni</em> is GUR-<em>ru</em>, <em>iturrū</em>, belonging to the protasis and referring to the blister beetles: 'if blister beetles … climb down from the walls ...
