PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • See also 32.N.31’ and 32.A.9. While the above appears to be the same as 32.A.9, the Nineveh omen omits the enclitic -ma ‘and’ between the protasis’s verbs.

  • Just as in the Nineveh recension, the protases of the above omen and the preceding (32.S.6) have a similar structure. They also share a repetition of the consonant patterns: pslt in the previous omen, tpsl here.
