PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • Traces of the signs consisting of na-kíl-tu are visible on the hand copy, but they are however extremely fragmentary. They have been restored using 32.A.55. The Assur omen expands the apodosis to say that grain will become scarce and does not include a gloss for enēš, but is otherwise similar to the above omen. The Assur commentary includes a lengthy discussion on the translation of na-kíl-tu.
  • The gloss níš is drawn on the hand copy as a smaller sign just below the sign read as -niš.
