PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • Collation of the manuscript K 06912+ reveals a broken NA—the man of the apodosis—at the end of line 17, which was omitted in If a City 2 (190 *32.8’, Ex(3)). This omission carries over to the reconstructed transliteration (166, *32.8’) and translation (167, *32.8’) of the above omen in If a City 2, but the change in meaning is negligible.
  • Further, both If a City 2 and Ebeling’s hand copy (CT 38 40) indicate the sign after KUN.MEŠ is -šú. The sign, however, is -šá, confirmed by collation.
