PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • See also 32.S.14. Both it and the above omen have the same protasis, and although the apodoses differ there is a connection with the use of mim-ma and ZÁḪ.

32.S.14’s apodosis

something will be los[t]; an eclipse during the d[ay] watch.
mim-ma ZÁ[Ḫ] KA×MI EN.NUN U[4-me]

  • The protases of the above omen and 32.A.19 are unmistakably a pair. Further the first sign in the apodoses of both omens is MUNUS (read above as mim-).
