PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • If a City 2 (179, *32.78’) translation requires interpreting DUMU-šú ‘his son’ as the subject of the apodosis. The word order, however, indicates that the man mentioned in the protasis is the subject of the apodosis, not his son.
