PHILOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
  • The protasis’s reconstruction is based on 32.S.6. Both the Sultantepe omen and 32.N.30’ are similar to the above omen, but they both omit from the apodosis the signs KALAG.GA ‘fortress’ and place -su after TAG ‘to touch’. As If a City 2 (178, n. 71’) notes, KALAG.GA may be an interpolation.
  • The apodosis does not specify whose fortress will experience a negative twist of face. In all likelihood, it is the man mentioned in the protasis.
